Lyfted Farms
A Leader in Cannabis Cultivation
Lyfted Farms is a respected cannabis grower in Modesto in California’s Central Valley that specializes in cultivating unique strains of cannabis. The company started operating in 2002 under California’s 215 laws and in 2016 when the California recreational market opened, they got their original facility licensed to serve it. Later, Lyfted opened a second facility to meet the demand in the California market. They are recognized around the state for their high quality cannabis.
The Challenge
Increase Yield in an Existing Footprint
In 2023, Lyfted Farms was looking for ways to increase yield while maintaining very high quality for their users. At the time, they had 1.2 MW of dual-ended HPS lighting that was averaging 600 μmols of light intensity. As they scaled up, it soon became clear that they needed to transition to LED lighting.
As part of this effort, they turned to the JumpLights team for a recommendation. After reviewing JumpLights benefits and comparing them with other lights, they quickly made the decision to work with us.

Solution
Efficient BudKicker™ Lights
JumpLights replaced Lyfted Farms’ 1.2 MW HPS lighting with 0.9 MW BudKicker over canopy LED lighting, with a total of 1,100 new JumpLights lights coming into the Lyfted facility.

BudKicker™
The BudKicker Over Canopy Light is a full spectrum, high-intensity LED Grow Light that provides more light output than HPS or other LED grow lighting products. It enables growers to produce substantially more grams per square foot of premium flower.
The Results
More Light. Increased Yields. More Efficient Energy.
Jumplights helped the Lyfted team get the lights installed quickly and the results were tremendous. Light intensity increased from 600 to 1,100 umols, increasing yields, and decreasing energy usage.
Lyfted Farms has also now installed JumpLights’ Catalyst under canopy lighting to drive further increases in yield. Early results have been positive, with cultivators reporting that the plants grown with under canopy lighting look great. “Under canopy is very exciting for us,” said Chris Talley, who works in cultivation at Lyfted. “Visually you can see the difference in the rows that have under canopy lighting,” said Blink.
The Lyfted team has also continued to purchase more over canopy lights for their facility.
