Daily Light Integral (DLI) Calculator
Daily Light Integral, or DLI, is a measure of light received by a surface over the course of a given day. Knowing the DLI of a plant is important because it helps you determine if a location gets enough light for a plant to grow well. In the case of indoor greenhouses, it helps you determine how much light should be given to your plants.
For example, low light plants require a DLI of 5–10, while medium light plants require 10–15 and high light plants need more than 15. Our calculator is a useful tool in helping you determine the PPFD you should be providing to your plants to help them get proper DLI and grow under ideal conditions.
