JumpLights CTO Matteo Del Ninno and CEO John Peeler recently hosted Maryland Secretary of Agriculture Kevin M. Atticks at the JumpLights R&D Center in Germantown, Maryland.

Atticks visited JumpLights to discuss the company’s high efficiency lighting and how it can help Maryland agricultural companies grow faster and become more environmentally friendly. Atticks was also very interested in the lighting efficiency policies of states other than Maryland where JumpLights customers operate and how Maryland may be able to enact similar policies.

The team also discussed Maryland’s lighting rebates, which are available to customers buying new efficient LED lights to replace HPS lights or other types of lighting. Not all states offer these incentives (for example, West Virginia currently does not), but fortunately for growers, Maryland does. If you are interested in securing these rebates, please reach out to us at JumpLights ([email protected]) and we can help you find and secure them in your area.

Del Ninno also gave Secretary Atticks insight into the DLI (Daily Light Integral) requirements of different crops.

With Secretary Atticks and his team working hard to help cultivators and preserve our environment, the future of Maryland agriculture is in good hands. JumpLights is proud to be headquartered in Maryland and to support growers here and and beyond to more efficiently grow their plants and profits.
