Under Canopy Lights
Catalyst
JumpLights Catalyst under canopy lights were the first purpose-built under canopy lights on the market. They’re also the best on the market – improving premium flower yield by up to 60% or more for our customers by getting additional light to plants from underneath.

JumpLights under canopy lights stand out in the under canopy lighting market due to ergonomic workability, enhanced optics, durability, and custom tailored spectrum designed exclusively for cannabis cultivation. This helps growers drive efficiency, overall product quality yield, and significantly reduce labor costs.
Catalyst lights are built with premium components -single piece extruded aluminum housing, not plastic, recessed and covered connection points, and a robust/rugged? polycarbonate lens that’s easy to clean. The lights have sliding arms so you can mount the lights without using cumbersome feet, which keeps the lights away from water and fertigation lines. They are designed to be left in place during room turnovers; just slide them aside.
With Catalyst, you can grow your plants and profits faster.
What Makes JumpLights Catalyst Under Canopy Lights Different?
Catalyst under canopy lights were designed and built with the rugged under canopy environment in mind. Below the plants, it’s dirtier, wetter, darker, and has less airflow compared to over canopy. Our team went deep, scrubbing in at grow facilities, watching growers working and cleaning, asking them what they needed most in an under canopy light. Each element of our Catalyst lights was designed with their needs in mind.

We also have models optimized for both single row and dual row usage. Our 340W light is ideal for single row growing and our 260W light is ideal for dual row. Both are the highest brightness options we can find on the market.

Why Choose Catalyst Under Canopy Lights?
1
Easy to Work Around
JumpLights light hang from trellis bars, so you can simply slide them away during room turnovers instead of having to move them somewhere else. They are rugged and durable and can withstand water and cleaning as well as the normal wear and tear that you find in the under canopy environment.
2
Improved Optics for Uniform Light Distribution
JumpLights have enhanced optical features that ensure a more uniform light distribution, leading to consistent canopy growth and improved yields. Uniform lighting is especially crucial in cannabis cultivation to avoid inconsistent growth and maximize product quality.
3
Ruggedness and Durability
Built for demanding cultivation environments, JumpLights fixtures are designed to be highly durable. Their robust construction ensures they can withstand the rigors of frequent use and cleaning, reducing the risk of equipment failure and minimizing replacement costs. This ruggedness is especially important for under canopy lighting, which is closer to the target (leaves or flowers) and operates in harsh environments, requiring high resistance to thermal stress, impact, and ergonomic challenges.
4
Designed, Assembled and Tested in the USA
JumpLights are made in the United States of US and imported components, providing reliable quality control and faster customer service. This can be a crucial factor for cultivators who need dependable support and shorter lead times.
5
Balanced Red Spectrum and Light Quality
Compared to many competitors, JumpLights have a balanced spectrum with a lower fraction of red light. This is advantageous in cannabis cultivation as a high red fraction can lead to photobleaching, which negatively impacts the perceived quality of the final product. JumpLights provide high efficacy while avoiding excessive red, contributing to better product quality.
6
Optimized Thermal Management
JumpLights Catalyst lights employ high-quality diodes, PCBs, and a large conductive and radiative heat sink to manage thermal output effectively. This allows for higher brightness without overheating the fixture or plants and ensures long-term efficiency without a significant drop in performance. Unlike other fixtures such as fully plastic models, JumpLights can push more power while maintaining safety and reliability.
7
Holistic Approach to Plant Management
JumpLights are designed to work synergistically with plant management practices to create optimal conditions for under canopy growth. High light under canopy conditions require adaptations in plant training and cultivation techniques, and JumpLights can help growers understand the best practices for maximizing yield and quality. Our experience, deploying hundreds of lights over four years of trials, has shown that with the right plant management techniques, JumpLights outperform competitors in both yield and quality.
8
Maximized Total Light Output
Instead of a simplistic focus on PPF or the cost of producing each photon, JumpLights prioritize a balanced spectrum, high power, and efficient light fall pattern that leads to more total photons reaching productive plant areas. This results in a higher value product and more growth. The opportunity cost of suboptimal light distribution and spectrum would quickly negate any savings on cheaper, less durable lights.

Under Canopy Lighting FAQ
Below are some questions we often get about under canopy lighting.
Under canopy lighting is defined as any lighting that’s placed below the canopy with the purpose of improving plant growth. Numerous studies, including our own, have shown that getting more light to the bottom of the canopy can help plant growth and quality.
Simply put, because in our testing (and in 3rd party testing), it gives you more premium quality buds. We see B buds turning into A buds with companies reporting up to 100% more premium flower growth. It’s also relatively easy to implement; you can put the lights directly into your current growing environment, giving you more yield without having to build new buildings.
Under canopy lighting sits below the canopy and gets more light to the lower parts of plants, which may not get light from over canopy lights. The higher amount of light on the lower part of the plant results in more A buds, less larf, and higher yields for cultivators.
In our experience, it absolutely does. While every grow is different, we’ve seen increases of up to 100% in premium flower yield with under canopy lighting. You can get these increases without adding more grow rooms or building a new facility.
