Overview

JumpLights is seeking a passionate Production Manager to join our fast-paced and innovative team! In this role, you will oversee all aspects of production for our products. You will be responsible for developing efficient processes, building a high-performing team, and ensuring we deliver high-quality products on time.

Location: JumpLights Headquarters, 20410 Observation Drive, Germantown MD, 20876

Workday: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm plus overtime as required, 30 min lunch and 2 breaks

Reports to COO and will also work with CEO on a regular basis.

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop Production Processes, Plans, and Infrastructure

  • Organize facilities layout and required tools and equipment for workers.
  • Develop manufacturing and test procedures to ensure a high quality product.
  • Plan for and develop manufacturing and test fixtures, with engineering help as required.
  • Work with COO to establish production plans and goals.

Build and lead a high performance production team and meet production needs of JumpLights.

  • Recruit, interview, assess, and hire the production team which will include both full time employees and contractors.
  • Train assemblers and production staff.
  • Lead and supervise assemblers to deliver high quality products in accordance with plans.
  • Create a productive and positive work environment.
  • Oversee testing and quality control for all products and retain all test and quality data.
  • Implement efficient packing and storage procedures to optimize manufacturing warehouse space.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Deliver products on-time and in accordance with production plans.
  • Develop employees and deal with performance problems.  Write and deliver performance evaluations and establish goals and objectives for subordinates.  
  • To the extent possible, hire one or more assemblers who can also assist with customer installations.

Other Duties & Responsibilities

  • Occasional help with fabrication of engineering prototypes and test fixtures.
  • Help with customer installations and help build what will ultimately become an installation group. 
  • Maintain compliance across the group with our non-discrimination and anti-harassment policy.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
